Ecology: Interwoven lines of entanglement

'What we have been accustomed to calling "the environment" might, then, better be envisaged as a domain of entanglement. It is within such a tangle of interlaced trails, continually raveling here and unraveling there, that beings grow or "issue forth" along the lines of their relationships. This tangle is the texture of the world' (Ingold, 2011, p. 71).

'[The body] is just as much a part of nature as anything else there- a river, or a mountain, or a cloud. Also, if we are fussily exact, we cannot define where a body begins and external nature begins' (Whitehead, 1968, p. 21).
